Ginger Post Update…

Vishy’s in Aundh, near Parihar Chowk – they sell Ginger biscuits.

And while they’re ok, they’re not a patch on the original.

Which, as a friend pointed out, used to be thick and crumbly. They also used to have, now that I think of it, a wonderful mixture of sugar crystals, that would very nicely offset the heat of the ginger.

It’s turning into a bit of a paranoia, this thing, but I’ll doggedly keep up the research and let you know how it goes.

In the meantime, if there are any kindly old aunties reading this and saying, “Oh I know what you’re talkiing about!… I don’t know where to buy them, but I do have the recipe…”
