Why? Why, why, WHY?
Why do they dig up roads, and fill ’em up, and dig ’em up again?
There is no answer to this question, of course. A true Puneri will simply accept it as her lot and move on. Ride over the debris and the potholes and craters and get on with it.
Perhaps a caustic comment to the pillion, who will laugh appreciatively, but that is all.
And please do not think that this is fatalism. It is just a way of life. In Pune, this is how it is. Roads are built primarily to be dug up. That vehicles are on them is simply a coincidence.
